Manu Ignatius

Research Engineer

Manu received his B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University College of Engineering, India. He started his career as a software engineer at Network System and Technologies Pvt Ltd and later moved to the R&D center of Nortel Networks, Bangalore, India. He worked in embedded and data networking (mainly layer 2), especially wireless (802.11) software/firmware design and development.

Having worked over 3.5 years with the industry, he decided to pursue his Masters at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Currently he is a part-time Masters student majoring in Computer Engineering.

He joined ARL as a Research Engineer in June 2009 and is currently working on Underwater Communication Networks.

Interests

Manu's professional interests include embedded software design and development, computer communication networks, mainly wireless - 802.11 etc. He is a passionate computer (PC) gamer and naturally he has his interests in computer graphics, graphics processors, graphics designing etc. His additional interests include photography, scuba diving, painting, bit of a writing (blog), reading, swimming, trekking etc.
