Chi Cheng

Research Fellow

ChiCheng.PNG Cheng is currently a Research Fellow at the ARL. He obtained his Ph.D degree in July 2016 from Peking University (PKU), Beijing, China. His Ph.D thesis was about real-time 3-D acoustical imaging. He received the B.Eng. degree in electronic engineering from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China, in 2011. Cheng was born in Anhui Province, China.

He joined ARL in October 2016. His research interests focus on underwater acoustical signal processing, including underwater real-time 3-D acoustical imaging, fast and adaptive beamforming, design of wideband array and waveform, broadband acoustical current profiler and underwater communication.

In his spare time, he enjoys listening to music, jogging, playing badminton and football. He also likes speculative movies and TV series.
