Pengkun completed her undergraduate degree in Computer Science at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. She is currently pursuing Master of Computing at National University of Singapore. Her journey with ARL began during her final-year project, where she first get to know the fascinating world of dolphin bioacoustics. Since then, she has been applying machine learning techniques to better understand these marine voices, and her Master’s dissertation continues to explore this intersection of acoustics and AI.

Beyond research, Pengkun enjoys singing, photography, Model United Nations, and doing Duolingo. She hopes to spare more time at concerts, sharpen her badminton skills, and squeeze in a few extra rounds of Splatoon.
