Tan Soo Pieng

Research Engineer

Soo Pieng received her bachelor of engineering (BEng) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Nottingham Trent university. She was attached to ARL before her graduation and joined ARL as a research engineer in 2001. Her work involves supporting hardware prototyping, software development and ambient noise signal analysis. She has participated in the development of many underwater related projects including ROMANIS, mini-PANDAs, TRM and the Singapore water ambient noise database. She likes to be with her 2 kids and husband during weekends. They love to go for a hiking, reading and occasional movie watching.
