Yugam completed his undergraduate studies in Physics and Engineering Science at the National University of Singapore and is now a Research Engineer at the NUS Acoustic Research Laboratory. He enjoys research for the combination of curiosity, problem-solving, and the occasional satisfaction of finally understanding something that had been bothering him for far too long. His work at ARL involves acoustics and computational methods, building on his background in physics and his undergraduate research experience.

Outside the lab, Yugam enjoys archery, music, films, reading, travelling, and spending time with friends. He has a particular fondness for long conversations, obscure tangents, and learning about things simply because they happen to be interesting. He is also trying to maintain a reasonable balance between having too many interests and actually finding time for them.
